Admissions

The Office of the Registrar (Academic Affairs) provides academic services and systems for prospective and current students - from initial contact, to application and admission, through course registration, exam booking and graduation.

The College offers JKUAT programmes whose curriculum is approved by the University Senate and taught by University approved lecturers. Examinations are moderated, administered and processed by the University Senate.

The College also offers a variety of other competitive programmes examined by leading local and international accrediting bodies. These are broadly categorized as Regular Programmes.

JKUAT PROGRAMMES

Intakes for the JKUAT programmes are held in January, May and September every year. Students MUST register before the intake month for the intake they want to join.

Applications are done on official applications forms available for download at the bottom of this page or obtained from any of our campuses.

The applicants must fill the form in duplicate and attach:

  • 2 recent passport size photos
  • A copy of KCSE result slip
  • A copy of your National ID

Completed application/registration forms MUST be submitted together with a copy of a bank deposit slip of KES. 500 for Certificate and Diploma Programmes and KES. 1,500 for degree programmes.

REGULAR PROGRAMMES

Intakes for regular programmes are usually in January, March, June and September of every year.

Examining bodies for Regular Programmes include:

  • The Kenya National Examinations Council – KNEC
  • The Association of Business Executives - ABE
  • International Air Transport Association - IATA
  • Kenya Accountants and Secretaries national Examination Board - KASNEB
  • City and Guilds
  • Chartered Institute of Marketing - CIM
  • Cisco
  • Institute of Commercial Management - ICM

The programmes operate on an open registration format which means as long as one has met the minimum requirements for the course they wish to pursue, official request to join the College is made by means of registration forms available for download at the bottom of this page or obtained from any of our campuses.

Such forms will then be forwarded to the Registrar's (Academic Affairs) for processing.

The applicants should return duly completed forms and attach:

  • 2 recent passport size photos
  • A copy of KCSE result slip
  • A copy of your National ID

The following fees are also payable upon registration, in addition to tuition fees:

  • Admission fee – KES. 500
  • Library fee – KES. 1,500
  • Caution Fee – KES. 1,500
  • Student welfare – KES. 1500
  • Exam Administration Fee - KES. 250 per term
  • Project Supervision Fee – KES. 2,500
  • Attachment fee - KES. 2,500 (optional)
  • Graduation Fee - KES. 1500 (optional)
