Zetech College is one of the leading collaborating centers of Jomo Kenyatta University and Technology (JKUAT). We offer a variety of certificate, diploma and degree programs The programmes are validated by The Commission for Higher Education (CHE).

Degree Courses

The degree programs include - Bachelor of Science in Information technology - Bsc IT , ,Bachelor of Business Information Technology - BBIT Bachelor Of Purchasing and Supplies Management - BPSM , Bachelor of Commerce and Business Administration - BCOMBA , Bachelor of Commerce BCOM and Bachelor of Mass Communication BMASS programs which we have successfully offered for the last one and a half years.

Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSCIT)Stage I

The Bsc IT program from J.K.U.A.T has been widely acclaimed as one of the most competitive programs in the region. The program covers specializations in the areas of Hardware, software and design after offering the student a wide range of skills in the information technology.

Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSCIT) Stage II

The Bsc IT program also allow students who have undertaken Diploma in Information Technology from recognized institutions to be able to transfer Credit acquired in their Diplomas and thus start their Degree in stage II

Bachelor of Business Information Technology (BBIT)

This program is an innovative answer to the desire growing desire for Information Technology professionals who have proper knowledge in the necessary business skills needed to deliver the IT solutions to the business world. The program therefore is an ideal mix of business and IT training with a view to producing a professional who is adept at the provision of solutions and leadership to the business world with regard to IT With the current of prominence of IT in the success of any venture the ideal mix of IT and business skills is a definite component of the success of any organization.

Bachelor of Purchasing and Supplies Management (BPSM)

The Bachelor of Purchasing program, the first of its kind in the region, is timely response to the growing need for highly qualified personnel in the supplies and procurement fields. It also seeks to address the requirements of recent legislation in the field of procurement with regard to knowledge and human resource capacity. The program is designed to provide immense benefits to organization in terms of supply chain efficiencies and logistics in procurement to ensure achievement of the objectives of economy efficiency and effectiveness

Bachelor of Commerce and Business Administration (BCOMBA)

The program borrows heavily from the Bachelor of Commerce program but has the distinct advantage of being contextualized in the entrepreneurship and the small and medium business sectors that are a common occurrence in Kenya. The Bachelor of Commerce and Business Administration programme is intended to provide students with business, ethical and technological skills required by commerce and industry

Bachelor of Commerce(BCOM)

The program remains the premier source of training in commerce. It imparts a variety of skills necessary for the modern day practitioner in all fields of business. This is further enhanced by the variety of specialization options available in the program including Banking, Accounting, Finance, Human Resource and Marketing.

Bachelor of Mass Communication(BMASS)

The growth of the media industry in content, variety and delivery form has necessitated the training of multi skilled practitioners in this field. This is the reason behind the introduction of the BMASS program. The program addresses the challenges of the evolvement of media including effects of new media and the apparent convergence of various media. The program equally offers a variety of specializations in print media, broad cast journalism, Advertising and public Relations

Minimum Requirements

KCSE aggregate grade C+ and a minimum of C in both Mathematics and English or be a holder of KACE certificate with a minimum of two principal passes and a minimum of credit pass in Mathematics and English

For Bachelor of Mass Communication BMASSKCSE aggregate grade C+ and a minimum of C in English Or be a holder of KACE certificate with a minimum of two principal passes.

Diploma in Business Administration

Duration:18 months including attachment.
Minimum Requirements:KCSE aggregate grade C and grades C- in English & Mathematics Or Division II in KCE with credit pass in Mathematics and English Or the equivalents

Diploma in Human Resource Management

Diploma in Purchasing & Supplies Management

Diploma in Mass Communication

Duration:18 months including attachment.
Minimum Requirements:KCSE aggregate grade C and grades C- in English Or Division II in KCE with credit pass in English Or the equivalents

Diploma in Public Relations & Advertising

Diploma in Microfinance

Duration: 18 months including attachment.
Minimum Requirements: KCSE aggregate grade C and grades C- in English Or Division II in KCE with credit pass in English Or the equivalents

Diploma in HIV AIDs Management

Duration: 18 months including attachment.
Minimum Requirements: KCSE aggregate grade C and grades C- in English & Mathematics Or Division II in KCE with credit pass in Mathematics and English Or the equivalents

Diploma in Community Development

Duration: 18 months including attachment.
Minimum Requirements: KCSE aggregate grade C and grades C- in English Or Division II in KCE with credit pass in English Or the equivalents

Diploma in Information Technology

Duration: 18 months including attachment.
Minimum Requirements: KCSE aggregate grade C and grades C- in English & Mathematics Or Division II in KCE with credit pass in Mathematics and English Or the equivalents

Certificate in Information Technology

Duration: 3 months.
Minimum Requirements: KCSE aggregate grade C- Or Division III in KCE

Certificate in Information Technology

Duration: 6 months.
Minimum Requirements: KCSE aggregate grade C- Or Division III in KCE

Certificate in Purchasing & Supplies Management

Duration: 3 months.
Minimum Requirements: KCSE aggregate grade C- Or Division III in KCE

Bridging Certificate in Mathematics/English

Duration: 3 months.
Minimum Requirements: For Degree and Diploma applicants: KCSE aggregate grade C+ Or KCE Divison II. For Certificate applicants: KCSE grade C Or KCE Division III

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Application for the courses are on official application forms, which may be obtained from the Admission offices, Zetech College or Director, CEP-JKUAT office or Downloaded from this website or from the University website given below.

All forms are obtained upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 500 for Certificates/Diplomas and Kshs. 1,500 for Degree courses directly or through bank deposit at any Barclays Bank of Kenya branch Account Name - Zetech College, Account No. 082-1508878 Or Any Kenya Commercial Bank branch, Account Name - JKUAT-CEP, Account No. 234630554. For bank deposits, the Application Forms MUST have a copy of Deposit Slip attached.
